Promoting community integration by connecting them with available resources such as; housing, counseling, and food
Nurturing their belief that they are the experts of their own lives
Uncovering their hidden strengths, transferable skills and resilience
Providing leadership and teamwork opportunities for women to showcase their skills
Fostering trust, friendship and solidarity amongst women who have experiences with drug use
Challenging harmful and stigmatizing narratives of women who use drugs on local and governmental levels by leading community actions, and influencing policy change.
Every Thursday we host a healing circle. The healing circle is an intimate, sacred space where individuals gather to share their stories, experience, and emotions to promote healing and well-being. A talking circle is a structured process where participants listen without judgment and allow the individual speaker to have their full attention and space to reflect. Group members can show their support to the speaker by not interrupting, refraining from providing unsolicited advice, and keeping what is shared in the circle under confidentiality.
